The best and easiest way to get to Playa del Carmen is via the Cancun airport, located a short 40 miles away. Another easy option is to fly into the Cozumel. You can take the Ado bus from the terminal to downtown Playa for 12 dollars a person one way. Just walk past all the taxi stands and they can sell you a ticket.
